Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim, popularly known as Lyta, is a well-known Nigerian-born Afrobeat singer and songwriter. He was born on July 4, 1998, in Ajegunle, Lagos State, Nigeria. Lyta gained popularity after he was signed to YBNL Nation by Olamide in 2018.

Lyta’s Early Life and Education
Lyta was born on July 4, 1998, in Ajegunle, Lagos State, Nigeria. His love for music started at a very young age. During his childhood days, he was a member of Ile Kewu, a music group at his local mosque. On March 3, 2018, he made a record deal with YBNL Nation. However, in 2019, he came out and confirmed that he did not have any written contracts with YBNL Nation.
Lyta left YBNL Nation in 2019 because of some contractual and personal issues. He later signed with the Doro Musik Gang. On July 12, 2019, he released one of his most popular tracks, Monalisa. He dropped the song under Doro Musik Gang. After some weeks, David Adedeji Adeleke, well-known with Davido, messaged him, consigning recording Monalisa Remix with him.
On August 30, 2019, Lyta released the Monalisa remix, featuring Davido. The Monalisa remix was released along with the music video, which was directed by Director K. After Lyta’s collaboration with David, he gained more popularity than before.
In 2020, Lyta signed with Marlian Records, owned by Naira Marley. However, Lyta later said, “I am not signed with Marlian records. Naira Marley is just showing me love.”
