Victor Boniface was born on December 23, 2000, in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. He started his career as a Real Sapphire FC player in the years 2018–2019.
He later moved to Europe, where he played for Bodo/Glimt from 2019–2022, and he recorded 23 goals and eight assists in 66 games between 2019 and 2022. He joined Belgian first-division outfit Union Saint-Gilloise in summer 2022 and scored a hat-trick on his debut for the club in a UEFA Champions League qualifying game against Klaksvik.
On July 22, 2023, Boniface signed for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen on a contract until 2028 and was assigned the number 22 shirt. On April 15, Boniface opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 25th minute and later provided an assist for Xhaka’s goal, taking his tally to 11 goals and nine assists in just 18 Bundesliga appearances in the season, despite missing four months due to injury.
